Costs based on when and where your ceremony is taking place.
Cost breakdown for April 2021 - March 2023
Saturday
Room hire - 2 hours: £150
Room hire and registrars - 2 hours: £750
Sunday
Room hire - 2 hours: £250
Room hire and registrars - 2 hours: £850
Deposits
To secure the room for Room Hire only, the full fee is to be paid when booking. To secure the room for a ceremony a deposit of £150 is required.
How to book

When you make your booking you will be required to pay a £100 non- refundable booking fee, in addition to the ceremony fee below. This will secure the date and time of your ceremony.
Your ceremony fee will be due 4 weeks prior to your ceremony going ahead.
Monday to Saturday: £525
Sunday and bank holidays: £575

How to book
Prior to booking the registrar we would advise that you speak to the venue where you would like to get married as this needs to be booked separately.
Once you have chosen the venue you will need to book a registrar to conduct your ceremony.

When you make your booking you will be required to pay a £75 non- refundable booking fee, in addition to the ceremony fee below. This will secure the date and time of your ceremony.
Your ceremony fee will be due 4 weeks prior to your ceremony going ahead.

A marriage in our statutory ceremony room at Stafford register office can take place Monday to Friday and costs £57.00 with no booking fee.
The £57.00 is paid by credit/debit card at the time of booking.
Please note:
- The statutory ceremony will take place in a working office. I.e. there will be a desk, chair, cabinets.
- Only two guests can be in attendance – these two guests will act as the couple’s witnesses. It is not possible for Registration Officers to act as witnesses, and that witnesses cannot be provided for the couple.
- The two witnesses must both be able to speak and understand English, although it does not have to be their first language. You do not have to know your witnesses personally; or they can be relatives or friends. The witnesses do not need to bring any identification with them.
- The ceremony will not include any enhancements such as music, poetry or readings, or personalised vows - although you can exchange rings if you wish.
